Gage County lies south of Lancaster County in the state’s southeast corner. Its 855 square miles run all the way to the Kansas border. The county seat is located in Beatrice, its largest town with roughly 13,000 people. Wymore and 10 other small towns call the county home. A great place to learn about the area’s background in railroads, medicine, industry and agriculture is at the Gage County Historical Society and Museum in Beatrice.
