Fillmore County is located south of York County in the southeastern part of the state. Geneva, population 2,200, is its county seat. Exeter, Fairmont, Shickley and four other small towns call this county’s 577 square miles home.
The Fillmore County Museum is located in Fairmont. The museum preserves the legacy of the area with displays housed in the former Fairmont Creamery Building. Across the street, the McClellan building includes exhibits that highlight the Fairmont Army Air Field and World War II.
