Union is located near the intersection of U.S Highways 75 and 34 in southern Cass County. Named for the “union” of two railroad lines in 1890, the town’s history stretches all the way back to early settlers in 1857. Today, this small community of 230 lies in Nebraska’s apple country. The Wostrel Family’s Orchard is a destination for fall family fun with apple and pumpkin picking and a wide variety of jams, pies, and other tasty baked goods.
