Husker Harvest Days
Grand Island’s Husker Harvest Days is the largest irrigated farm show in the world. The show began more than 35 years ago and has only grown larger with time. Visitors from more than 30 states converge on Hall County each September for the event showcasing American agriculture with more than 600 exhibitors.

At Norfolk's Oktoberfest, Big Wheel races, food vendors, a bucket pong tournament and other activities bring out the Deutsch in you, even if you're not German. What is masskrugstemmen? Fill a mug and find out. Oktoberfest is held in conjunction with the Riverpoint Arts Festival in Johnson Park at 101 E. Nebraska Ave., and the Lion's Club Parade.

Sidney’s Oktoberfest
The ceremonial tapping of the keg kicks off Sidney’s annual three-day Oktoberfest celebration on the first full weekend in October. Then, the live music, dancing, comedy shows and parade begins. There’s a craft show and, of course, plenty of bratwurst, sauerkraut and beer. The Running of the Wieners dog race and Rod & Roll car show at Legion Park add more thrills to an already fun-packed Cheyenne County weekend.

One Box Pheasant Hunt
Eastern farm fields and western cattle pastures meet at Broken Bow, providing unique habitat for man and beast. This pheasant-hunting competition draws hundreds and features hunter teams competing for bragging rights. Past celebrity guns have included Nebraska governors and military Gen. Norman Schwartzkopf.
