The Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area preserves 531 acres of rocky bluffs 10 miles south of Gering. With an elevation upwards of 5,000 feet, this area boasts bobcats, bighorn sheep and towering evergreens. Hike, mountain bike, camp or kick back and take in the crow’s-nest view of the North Platte River Valley.
