An entrepreneurial trio and their passionate families and crew brew history-making beers at Scratchtown Brewing Co. The name comes from a quote by the town’s namesake, Gen. E. O. C. Ord. Biting insects caused the 19th-century commander to suggest calling the community “Scratchtown.” Award-winning beers, community events and immeasurable friendships flow from the brewery on Ord’s town square with a winged insect for a logo.
