Pioneers Park Nature Center is a wildlife sanctuary within minutes of downtown Lincoln. The Nebraska State Capitol building is clearly visible to the east. Eight miles of hiking trails lead through more than 600 acres of prairie, wetlands and woodlands with herds of elk, bison and white-tailed deer. Take a close look at the talons of a raptor ambassador, learn about frogs in the small animal exhibit building, and dig, climb and play in the children’s area.
