Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is consistently ranked as one of the world’s best zoos. What began as modest Riverview Park in 1894 has grown into one of the state’s top tourist attractions. With enormous interactive exhibits, an IMAX theater, and unique opportunities to feed a budgie, ride a camel and pet a stingray, the zoo is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

Exhibits include the Lied Jungle, the world’s largest indoor rainforest, and the Desert Dome, the world’s largest indoor desert. The Kingdoms of the Night winds visitors through a swamp and two caves, showcasing nocturnal animals. The Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium includes a 70-foot tunnel where sharks and sea turtles swim right overhead. The Alaskan Adventures splash pad is a great place to cool down in the summer, or catch a ride on the Skyfari for a bird’s-eye view from above.

Strollers and wheelchairs are available for rent. Train and tram tickets can also be purchased for transportation throughout the zoo. A gift shop is available for souvenirs.
