Two thousand acres of “quiet wild” are nestled inside the longest Oxbow along the Missouri River at Fontenelle Forest in Bellevue. Visitors can hike 25 miles of trails peppered with white-tailed deer and wild turkeys or flock to the Raptor Woodland Refuge and get eye-to-eye with great horned owls and a peregrine falcon.
